As the 2017 motor sport season gets underway in earnest, the second year of the groundbreaking Dare To Be Different initiative will commence with a number of new partners joining the pledge to inspire women of all ages to break the mould and shatter preconceptions. Integro, one of the world’s leading global insurance broker and specialist risk management firms, has become a partner to Dare To Be Different as it seeks to consolidate its position within the motor sport arena.
“Dare To Be Different is a great opportunity for Integro to work on grass-roots elements of the sport and the industry,” said Head of Sport at Integro, Karen Ellis. “We plan to build relationships throughout the motor sport ‘family’ while helping to spread the values at the heart of the campaign – to inspire and educate girls and women through the experience of the motor sport industry. We were delighted to participate after meeting Susie and her team and seeing the events in action last year.”
Integro took a solid foothold in the motor sport arena at the end of 2015 when it purchased Ellis Clowes – the sport’s leading insurance broker – and the brand has been establishing itself within the industry ever since. Senior members of the team attended two of the Dare To Be Different ‘headline’ events in 2016 and were immediately drawn to a partnership.
“We are delighted to welcome Integro into the Dare To Be Different family,” said D2BD founder Susie Wolff MBE. “This is the start of only our second year, and to receive such an endorsement from a company like Integro is a real assertion of how far we have moved in a year. It is fantastic to have them on-board.”
The Integro brand identity will be seen on Dare To Be Different collateral, and representatives will attend events throughout the year. They will also use their expertise to advise the charity on all areas of insurance issues, in addition to providing advice and special offers for D2BD Community members and others associated with the campaign.
“We aim to be a proactive member of Dare To Be Different,” continued Ellis. “In the world of motor sport, insurance is an essential consideration whatever one’s role and we hope to be able to present our services in a positive light with flexible and bespoke policies and opportunities. I hope being involved in the Dare To Be Different campaign is proof of our passion for equality and value across the extensive motor sport spectrum.
The first ‘headline’ event on the Dare to Be Different calendar took place earlier this month at Ballymena Showgrounds in Northern Ireland, during the inaugural Circuit Festival, followed by a second event at Daytona Sandown Park in Surrey earlier this week.
